已经在澳门新葡萄新京威尼斯123学习半年的118名巴基斯坦留学生，4月21日在新葡萄新京威尼斯见到了家乡人、听到了乡音：由巴基斯坦总理顾问皮扎达率领的巴基斯坦政府访问团一行十余人，今天下午到访新葡萄新京威尼斯，与巴基斯坦大学生们愉快交流。

今天访问新葡萄新京威尼斯的巴基斯坦政府访问团成员，是在参加博鳌亚洲论坛年会开幕大会后，专程赶到新葡萄新京威尼斯看望本国留学生的。

学院党政领导李永春、焦解歌、刘军保、陈玉民、何忠平、孙公凯，有关职能部门的负责人，部分及学生代表，全体留学生参加了欢迎仪式。

在欢迎仪式上，澳门新葡萄新京威尼斯123院长焦解歌代表学校全体师生对巴基斯坦政府代表团的来访表示热烈的欢迎，并介绍了澳门新葡萄新京威尼斯123的发展情况。他说，澳门新葡萄新京威尼斯123的办学水平得到了包括巴基斯坦在内的世界许多国家的认可，现在仅巴基斯坦有100多名留学生在新葡萄新京威尼斯留学，学校不仅为留学生们提供一流的学习、生活条件，还专门成立了国际教育学院和留学生部负责留学生的事务，为留学生们配备了专职辅导员，全天候24小时负责留学生们的日常生活管理和心理辅导，使留学生们能在新葡萄新京威尼斯愉快、幸福地学习和生活。

巴基斯坦文化部长赛尔德.扎木尔在欢迎仪式上发表了热情洋溢的讲话。他说，中巴关系非常友好，中巴友谊源远流长，深入人心。这种友谊正像穆沙拉夫总统形容的那么样“比山高，比海深”。今天，我们来到象珍珠一样美丽的海南岛，感受到海南人民对巴基斯坦人民的深厚感情。海南的发展很快，巴基斯坦现在有100多学生在海南留学，我们希望通过各种交流与合作，使中巴友谊万古长青。

巴基斯坦政府代表团在澳门新葡萄新京威尼斯123访问期间，还参观了校园，观看了包括巴基斯坦留学生在内的澳门新葡萄新京威尼斯123学生的文艺演出。

目前新葡萄新京威尼斯共接收了150名南亚五年制学历教育的留学生，其中118名 为巴基斯坦学生，其余为印度、约旦、尼泊尔学生。新葡萄新京威尼斯为留学生们提供了一流的学习、住宿、餐饮条件，还专门成立了国际教育学院和留学生部负责留学生事务。 校方不久前投入大笔资金，在每个巴留学生宿舍安装了电视，并接入了两套巴基斯坦电视节目，大受学生欢迎。学生苏丹告诉记者：“来中国之前，只知道西方医学技术处在高端，而来到中国后才发现，中国的医学技术发展也相当不错。在新葡萄新京威尼斯的生活很愉快。”巴基斯坦政府访问团成员，除总理顾问皮扎达外，还包括文化部长赛尔德·扎木尔、科技部长那瑞斯·沙库汗、宗教事务部长阿米尔·理阿科特·侯赛因、计划委员会副主席穆罕默德·阿科拉穆·赛尔克等有关部门官员。

欢迎仪式结束后，宾主双方在校园美丽的人文生态广场合影留念。

Respected Mr.Prizada, Ministers and our distinguished guests,Ladies and Gentlemen,

Good afternoon.

Allow me to express, on behalf of the staff of Hainan Medical College, our warm welcome to Mr.Prizada, Dr. Syiad Ghazi Ghulab Jamal, Mr. Ch. Nauraiz Shakoor Khan，Mr. Aamir Liaqut Hussain, Mr. Muhammad Akram Sheikh, and our other distinguished guests from Pakistan. Welcome to Hainan! Welcome to Hainan Medical College!

In the warmth of spring, all the flowers bloom here, including the fragrant Jasmine, which takes roots and buds. This is like our students from Pakistan --- they are just beginning, and they are vigorous and full of promise.

We have long enjoyed a warm friendship with Pakistan. Now we have opened our college to your students to further our honored friendship. Hainan Medical College was approved last year for the enrollment of international students. Since then, nearly one hundred and twenty Pakistan students have come to live and study here. This is an endorsement of our college by your Pakistani educational institutions, parents, and students. Here, I’d like to extend our sincere appreciation for entrusting us with the opportunity to train qualified medical professionals who will serve your country.

Mr. Minister, Hainan Medical College is the only institute of higher learning in medical education in this province. We have enjoyed good relationships within China and also with other countries, and maintained a good reputation both at home and abroad.

Now we have expanded our curricula to include many academic disciplines within medicine. We offer thirteen undergraduate majors in three academic categories. We have five hundred teachers, associate professors, and professors and ten teaching hospitals. Our enrollment is nearly eight thousand Chinese students, and about one hundred and fifty international students from Pakistan, India, and Jordan.

With the support of our government, we are going to change our name to Hainan Medical and Pharmaceutical University. We will then focus on and offer additional degrees in tropical medicine and holistic health care. We will be ready for the change around 2010. We are working to enlarge the campus size and raise the academic standards to be able to offer better living and study conditions and more majors for students to choose from.

Mr. Minister, Hainan Medical College enjoys a good reputation in the academic community, and we care a lot about our students. We provide healthy, nutritious food and quality lodging and classrooms to ensure a good environment for learning for the international students. We are currently working to establish the School of International Education. The International Student Affairs Office has been set up to take care of all international students. Full time instructors are ready to offer help 24 hours for their daily needs including psychological counseling if needed. All of these ensure that every international student can enjoy his time here at our College.

I wish to thank you for sending us these excellent students. They are well disciplined and educated, and thus are well accepted by all the teachers and students. Many of them have become friends with Chinese teachers and students. And they are welcomed by the surrounding community as well.

Mr. Minister, Hainan Medical College was accredited by the Education Ministry of China in 2005 with a high rating. We are the only higher education institute authorized to enroll international students for college education in this province. We hope you enjoy your visit here, and you are pleased with our college and our professionals. When you return to Pakistan, we hope you to take back a good report for the Pakistani Medical and Dental Council. We hope the PMDC agrees to authorize acceptance of the medical education offered by our college and thus make it possible for our Pakistani students to be able to practice medicine in their motherland, thus contributing to the health care of the Pakistani people.
